Our sustainability policies page, featured on our new website, was designed to share the core philosophy that has inspired our creations for over thirty years: simple and practical beachwear, a choice rooted in freedom and mindfulness.

For ISOLE&VULCANI, the sea is much more than the perfect summer destination; it is the element from which everything is born and evolves. Natural Islanders is, for us, a powerful concept born in Filicudi, a jewel of the Aeolian Islands. For those who have experienced it, whether living on an island or just spending a summer season there, this concept is deeply meaningful. It is about coexisting in harmony with the elements and with others, respecting the rhythms of the land and the sea that surrounds it.

ISOLE&VULCANI has chosen to exclude synthetic fibres from its production cycle. Our creations are made exclusively from G.O.T.S. (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton fibre. We have always designed our swimwear with the goal of promoting a slow and conscious fashion, far removed from the frantic consumption of fast-fashion.

The choice of organic cotton is intentional: unlike synthetics, natural fibres do not release microplastic particles during swimming or washing, actively protecting the marine ecosystem. Cotton has a much different life cycle than synthetic fabrics—a crucial detail for preserving our planet’s balance. Our textiles fibre comes from certified batches, ensuring water savings compared to conventional methods and the absence of toxic pesticides throughout the entire cultivation chain. To the touch, natural fibre provides a sense of freshness and freedom that only organic matter can offer. Comfortable and breathable, organic cotton is ideal for experiencing the sea, both in and out of the water.
